Terms of service.
Updated
Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how JamCast works today in plain terms and will be revised after legal review.
These terms are an agreement between you and Sanford Labs LLC, a single-member Michigan limited liability company ("Sanford Labs", "we"), for jamcast.io, the JamCast web app at app.jamcast.io, and the software on JamCast signs (together, "JamCast"). By using JamCast you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to claim and manage a sign. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Using JamCast
Use JamCast lawfully. Do not put content on a sign that you do not have the right to display, try to break into our systems or other people's signs, or use JamCast in a way that harms the service or other people.
Content on your sign
Scores, prices, weather and other data come from third-party sources. We work to keep it accurate and current, but it can be delayed or wrong, and it is for information only. Do not rely on a JamCast sign for trading, betting or safety decisions. Messages you write are yours; you give us permission to store and display them on your signs.
The software
We license the software on your sign and the web app to you for use with JamCast. We may update it over the air to fix problems or add features. We may change or stop individual apps, especially those that depend on a third-party source.
Hardware
Terms for buying a sign, including price, shipping, returns and warranty, are shown at the time of purchase and are part of that sale.
Fees
The JamCast web app has no paid plan today. If that changes, we will tell you before any charge applies.
Ending your account
You can stop using JamCast and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and limits
JamCast is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim about JamCast is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell account holders about significant changes.
